Job Summary: Esperanza seeks a full- or part-time Registered Nurse or LPN to provide Christ-centered health care to the Latino community of North Philadelphia.Qualifications: Individual must be bilingual in Spanish and English and must have at least 1 year of nursing experience. Duties include: patient triage; education; spiritual care; multi-specialty care coordination; staff education; and, support to the Head Nurse.
Medical Assistant
Job Summary: Esperanza seeks full-time Medical Assistants to work with clinicians in a primary health care setting as part of the Esperanza clinical care team.Qualifications: Individual must be conversational in Spanish and English. Experience with basic skills, such as taking blood pressure, administering shots, and taking medical history, is preferred. Ideal candidate will have a strong desire to serve Christ in a ministry setting. Candidate must have a Medical Assistant Certificate.
Clerical Assistant
Job Summary: Esperanza seeks fully bilingual (Spanish/English) Clerical Assistants to serve as part of the health center's patient care team. Duties include answering the phones; scheduling patient appointments; verifying patients’ insurance and demographic information; collecting co-payments; making referrals to specialists; and providing spiritual care as part of a patient care team.Qualifications: Ideal candidates will have a strong desire to serve Christ in a ministry setting; at least one year of customer service experience; ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks; attention to detail; computer experience; excellent communication skills; and, solid character references.
Medical Department Coordinator
Job Summary: This position directly supports Esperanza’s Medical Director and the clinical team. Specific responsibilities include: coordinate HR functions for the medical team; manage credentialing of clinicians; assisting with new clinician orientations, coordinate medical volunteers; coordinate annual patient satisfaction surveys and other quality assurance related activities; and, coordinate meetings for Medical Director and serve as point person for communication.Qualifications: Preferably Bachelor's degree, minimum associate's degree, with some administrative experience. Mature, well-spoken; independent thinker and good problem-solver; organized and detail-oriented; experienced with MS Word and Excel; preferably some familiarity with medical technology; individual who seeks to serve Christ and the gospel in word and deed.
